(Lace and 4ply available in Superwash or non-Superwash)
A luxurious blend of silk and merino combine to produce this beautifully soft base. Niamh means lustre, radiance and brightness, qualities which are all reflected in this sumptuous yarn.
The daughter of the Irish god of the sea, Niamh (pronounced “Neev”) was an beautiful princess who fell in love with with the human hero Oisin. They lived together for 300 years in Tír na nÓg (The land of youth).

Soft, warm and scrummy. Oonagh (pronounced “oo-na”) is our personal favourite for cosy, supersoft sweaters. This base loves to be dyed, producing wonderfully vivid colourways.
Oonagh’s fine texture means it’s ideal when creating warm garments for wearing close to sensitive skin.
According to Irish folklore, Oonagh was Queen of the Fairies, and wore a robe of silver and dew. She has also been seen as the Irish goddess of nature, love and relationship.

Dún na nGall (Irish for Donegal) is our tribute to the long heritage of Donegal’s world famous tweed.
We use two different bases in our Dún na nGall range:

All our Blue Faced Leicester bases are 100% British and produced from small farms within the UK.
