I just love this dramatic colorway! The blue turquoise of Down by the Ocean's Edge is just as vivid as in the photo. The 50/50 merino/silk DK is as luxurious and decadent as you could possibly wish for. I love the shimmer that the silk gives--like sunlight dancing off the ocean's waves! This is the second skein I've bought in this colorway, so you know how much I love it.
Down By the Ocean's Edge is a radiant white and deep, cold, Atlantic Ocean turquoise blue. I've been eying this skein for months and don't know why I didn't buy it sooner, but am so glad that I finally did. The name of the 50/50 SWM/SILK (yes, silk!) 246 yd DK skein is Niamh, pronounced...wait for it, Neeve in English and meaning bright or radiant. From the photo, I thought the blue was a true blue, but I'm far from disappointed because turquoise/aqua is one of my 2 favorite colors. You have to have this skein in hand to understand just how decadently soft and luxurious it feels. I know I'll be back for more from this shop!
So pretty! A summer's sky in a yarn 😊
Luv luv it v.soft. I will be ordering more.
Beautifully soft but still held the definition of the lace pattern I was making. Wonderful to knit with.
